Workers housing and its maintenance is all responsibility of the farm. All the houses were built with concrete with tile of concrete floors, the kitchen uses a Lorena style that saves a lot on energy and they all have chimney, part of them have running water others have to collect it from close by water supply. Most houses have 2 bedrooms with large living room, kitchen and laundry area. They all have electricity paid by the farm. Each house has an out-house.
There is a central garbage disposal, this is collected twice a week by the farm tractor to be taken to the compost site and used for compost.
There is also a place for public showers and 20 "lavanderos" (local laundry mats)where personnel does their laundry. This soapy water is collected to be used as part of the natural insect repellent.
