Chalets

The Selva Negra Ecolodge also offers chalets for those traveling with their families or a group looking for a stay with a little history and more of a personal touch. Selva Negra offers four chalets, each with their own individual history and environment. The story behind each chalet, their location and decoration make them stand out above the bungalows.

Gretel Chalet

Chalet Gretel is set near a running creek on the top of a hill overlooking the mountains. It has a great view of the mountains and the small lake with the Bosche Chalet. Decorated with the Hansel and Gretel theme it is a favorite photo op moment. With it's split level design it offered a small private living room in the lower level, and an additional living room upstairs where you will also find the three bedrooms, one bedroom with a queen bed and the other two with two twin beds each.

Bosche Chalet

The Bosche Chalet is located on the banks of a small lake and has a porch over-hanging into the lake for peaceful enjoyment of the water's reflection. There is a creek that runs adjacent to the chalet, which is a great setting for a perfect night's sleep. The Bosche Chalet the original farmhouse of the estate, built by the original founder of the estate, Mr. Hans Bosche, in the late 1890's. It still has its original style with the addition of the porch. The Bosche chalet was first used as the restaurant when the cabins were being built and later converted into the chalet. With it's 5 bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, and dinning room area it is a perfect chalet for large gathering accommodating 10-12 guests.

Viejo Otto (C-1) Chalet

Chalet Viejo Otto (C-1) "Old Otto", is a two-story chalet and like the Bosche chalet accommodates large parties comfortably. It has a large family room and master bedroom downstairs with a full sized bed. The upstairs is four bedrooms with a loft situated with twin beds. Viejo Otto is located across from a lake and has luscious forests in the back. Hiking trails start from a short walk away. Chalet Viejo Otto was the first house built for the Eco Lodge back in 1975 .

Alsacia

Chatel Alsacia is close to the coffee facilities and overlooks the mountain range. From the back porch, you can enjoy the view among friends. The Chalet Alsacia is ideally situated for the coffee enthusiast. Located close to the coffee possessing facilities you will have easy access to education of how that morning cup of coffee came to be. With easy parking access and large private outdoor patio is a wonderful located to take a coffee vacation.
