Chalets
Selva Negra's chalets will appeal to groups of visitors who want to dwell amidst the character and history of Selva Negra's origins. Each of our four chalets has its own story. Their location and historic decor set them apart from the bungalows.
Gretel Chalet

Chalet Gretel lies near a running creek on the top of a hill overlooking the mountains. It has picture-perfect views of the cloud forest, the small lake and the Bosche Chalet. Its split-level design offers an intimate living room in the lower level and a larger living room upstairs. There are three bedrooms on the upper level, one with a queen bed and the others with two twin beds each.
Bosche Chalet

The Bosche Chalet holds more than a century of history within its walls. It was built by the founder of the estate, Mr. Hans Bosche, in the late 1890's as the original farmhouse. Subsequent renovations have preserved the original farmhouse style with the addition of a porch. With five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living room and separate dining area, this chalet is ideal for gatherings of ten to twelve guests.
Viejo Otto (C-1) Chalet

Chalet Viejo Otto (C-1 on the map) or "Old Otto", is a two-story chalet that also accommodates large parties comfortably. It was built in 1975 as the first house in the new lodge. Old Otto has a large family room and master bedroom downstairs with a full sized bed. The upstairs contains four bedrooms, plus a loft with twin beds. The front of the chalet looks across the lake with awe-inspiring forest views in the back. Hiking trails start are steps away.
Alsacia

Chalet Alsacia is close to the coffee mill and overlooks the mountain range. It will appeal to coffee enthusiasts who want to be right in the middle of the action when processing begins. The back porch is perfect for soaking in the view among friends. It features easy parking access and a large, private outdoor patio.
