The Pelton is still a work in progress, although it has been operating since our last newsletter, we're still trying to work out the kinks in the system. We've had to make wiring adjustments thought the farm and mountain resort to accommodate for the appropriate wattage. We also encountered major difficulties like the collapse of a section of pipe. A section of elevated pipe crossing over the coffee plantation encountered a pressure variation that caused it to burst, and the entire section had to be rebuilt. We have overcome these, and other minor mishaps to enjoy the power that we've generated ourselves. It is nice to know we're on the right path, and eventually all of the farm and resort will use it's own power. |
