Contest Theme
To photograph any of the over 200 bird species at Selva Negra. Attached to this form is a bird list of the currently documented birds found on the premises. Use it as a guide and supporting documentation.
Contest Rules
- We accept .jpg files only. Please submit images in as high a resolution as possible. Submit entries to: photo.contest@selvanegra.com
- For each photo you must submit:
- Your name
- Daytime telephone number
- E-mail address where you would like to be contacted
- Name of bird photographed
- A few details about the photo... where and when you took it, a humorous or unusual story behind the photo
- Describe the location as (near the restaurant lake, while on the Cody trail, at the coffee plantation, etc...)
- Images will be judged in four categories: Overall Bird in its habitat, Bird Behavior, Group shot (2 or more birds) and People enjoying birds.
- All entries become property of Selva Negra Eco Lodge and Coffee Estate. We reserve the right to modify, reproduce and distribute the material in any medium and in any manner or appropriate place.
- The entries of all printable photos will be published in the Selva Negra Bird Book.
How to Submit Your Photos
Only entries submitted in .jpg format and sent via e-mail will be accepted. Please submit your photos to photo.contest@selvanegra.com by the deadline.
The Deadline for the contest is July 30th 2010
Winners will be announce August 15th 2010

Grand Prize
Two-night stay double occupancy in a one-bedroom bungalow with breakfast included
Finalist Prizes
Four finalist prizes of a Sunday Buffet for two will be awarded
International contributors
International contributors with winning photographs will receive Selva Negra Estate Coffee in the mail along with a copy of the bird guide, with their photo included.
